It's been a while since my last blog. I'm thinking about shooting a new car video especially with my Nissan 350z. I bought my Canon Vixia HF20 for five hundred dollars on Black Friday last year and really haven't been using it to it's full potential. Here's a video that's got me motivated to start filming again at least before the snow sets in. It's Ken Block's Gymkhana
No way am I going to do stunts like that here on the streets of Reno, but you get the idea. It's amazing seeing all those camera angles. Showing the inside when he shifts the gear. It then switches to showing the wheels. Also showing the exhaust pipe on another camera angle. Even though this is being shot with multiple cameras, I believe I can get it done with just using one! Taking my time and shooting with patience. I have to be the camera man though I never get the shot I want correctly.
Next blog post I'll be brainstorming what time of day for the locations to use. Also I'm thinking about putting my friends Infinti G35 in it. Its been 2 years since the last video I made of his car and it's dramatically changed.
